RTSP - Realtime Streaming Protocol

(R-T-S-P)

A protocol used to serve SMIL multimedia presentations. RTSP is a time-stamped protocol and can therefore understand functions like fast-forward. RTSP also supports multicasting (simultaneous broadcast of multiple files).
