Pharming

(FARMing)

A subset of phishing where crimeware misdirects users to proxy servers, fraudulent sites, or other sites where personal information can be collected by the sites which look like otherwise legal sites the user was trying to visit. Various techniques are used in pharming; including such things as DNS hijacking, DNS poisoning, or something as simple as misspelled links.
