Printed Circuit Board
(P-C-B)
A circuit board where the "wires" are conducting tracks "printed" on the surface (one or both sides) of the board. The board itself may also have internal signal, power, and ground planes built in. Components are mounted on the board via leads passed through holes (or vias) in the board or, in some cases, surface mounted directly on the board. (Also called a PWB [Printed Wire Board].)
