(P-C)

A general acronym that applies to all personal computers or personal computing. Be careful of syntax, however, as PC is also often used to distinguish between IBM/Microsoft architecture computers (called PCs) and Apple Macintosh computers (called Macs). Make certain you know which context is being used since technically, PC applies to both architectures.
