Link
1) File Links
Generally, a connection of some sort between two files such that when the original file is changed the linked file also changes either through some manual update action (a cold link) or automatically (a warm link).
In business, a spreadsheet and/or pie chart/graph is often linked into a word processing document or a presentation document so that as the raw data changes the output graphic changes and the word processing document or presentation changes with it. This eliminates the possibility of copying errors creeping into the final output.
2) HTML Links
Hotspots on a Web page which, when clicked, take you to another page on the current Web page or another site in the World Wide Web (Internet).
