Keychord
Any combination of two or more keys pressed and held down at the same time. The name comes from the need to hold down multiple keys on a piano in order to produce a music chord. Keychords are typically used as shortcuts for executing various commands (e.g., control-S is often used as a shortcut for the File|Save command). Or, they can be used to call up and run macros. Other special keychords (e.g., Contol-Alt-Delete) are used as special commands to the operating system or computer.
