Indent
The indentation of a paragraph is usually controlled by the word processing program you are using. Indentation is nothing more than the temporary movement of the left and/or right margin in from the default setting. In a paragraph that is indented, the entire paragraph margin(s) move only for that paragraph.
On Web pages, indentation is generally controlled on the left by the <BLOCKQUOTE> tag, even though that tag was not designed for that purpose. More generally, indentation is controlled via tables or, more properly, through style sheet commands and either <DIV> or <SPAN> blocks.
