Control Program for Microprocessors (Control Program/Monitor)

An early microprocessor operating system. Developed by Gary Kildall Digital Research in the 1970s, CP/M was overtaken by MS-DOS. There are various stories about how Kildall lost out on licensing CP/M to IBM to run their PC systems. The most complete appears to be a Dr. Dobbs article.
