Business Process Execution Language
(BPEL)
An XML-based language used to connect multiple Web services in order to create an end-to-end business process. This end-to-end coordination of processes is sometimes called orchestration. The language is sometimes also known as Business Process Execution Language for Web Services (abbreviated BPEL4WS) although that is more correctly the term used for the standard that defines BPEL.
