Advanced (Acorn) RISC Machine

A microcomputer technology developed by Acron Computers Ltd. and later marketed and developed by Advanced RISC Machines Ltd. ARM microprocessors are low-cost, power-efficient RISC microprocessors; one of the first commercial RISC microprocessors. ARM processors were originally called "Acron RISC Machine" after their original developer. A version of the ARM microprocessor designed for embedded applications has been given the name "Thumb."
